I ensured there was no specific time period.

When I placed the phone in the dock, my lock screen appeared for about 10 seconds and then the screen shut off. As stated earlier, the only reason I purchased the Magnetic Dock was to be able to use my phone as a Digital Clock while it was charging. I also believe that this was one of the features used in the description of the dock.

Is there anything else I should be trying?

Having an issue with my Z3 Compact where the Desktop Clock will not display when the phone is in the magneticcharging dock. I have set up SmartConnect so that when the phone is placed in the charging dock the Alarm and Clock app is supposed to start, however, the screen simply turns off and the phone charges. With my Z2 I was able to use the phone as my beside alarm clock where the clock would display all night while charging using the same SmartConnect set up mentioned above. Any way to get this to work for the Z3?
