Not at the moment or that I know.

In Moto G I received a warning about the use of VPN and the key icon appeared only with the VPN in use.

How do I confirm if it is a VPN?
No VPN application is in use

Go to settings-more-vpn. See if there is any.

Do you have a network app on your phone? if so you may also want to check that for VPN and also notifications from your network

Yes , the key also appears in Safe Mode.
