Just about all the headphones listed under audio settings are old. Can we update this? I have the Z3v and the mdr1a headphones

Settings> audio>headphones. There is a list of headphones that are all old and I've noticed that mine aren't listed. I've noticed the in-line remote losing functionality when selecting ' general ' headphones. Sure I could just pick one that's similar to mine but wheres the fun in that.

Since those headphones are 3 pin headphones you can select something similar on the list such as MH-EX300AP, but do contact your local Xperia Care regarding that.

http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

My opinion, the headphones on the list are headphones that are made by Sony Mobile specifically for Xperia devices.

Anytime, keep in mind that you should look in to 5pin headphones if you want them to work with your Z3v
