Have you simply tried clearing the data for Xperia keyboard to see whether that works? To do so you just go into Settings > Apps > All > scroll down to Xperia keyboard > tap Xperia keyboard and tap on Clear data. Let us know how this goes.

Hi all,

Anyone else experiencing an issue on the right hand side of the keyboard since the latest software update?

I recently damage my trusty Z1 compact and upgraded to the Z3 compact. On setting it up it updated the system software. I noticed that I would in most cases when typing not get a 'P' and would have to try 2 or 3 times. I did the screen test and found that the screen appeared to be working fine.

I then updated the software on the Z1 (Only the Mic was faulty) and the same thing started happening.

I returned the Z3 to the shop who exchanged it but the new one did the same thing. Thinking that it was just me I took it back to the shop and the clerk had the same issue.

Is this a known problem? My name has a P in it, my nickname has a P in it, the company I work for has a P in it and I'm a bit P'ed off

Perhaps try running a software repair on your hansdset, this is very likely to help because it actually re-flashes the operating system. You will need to download PC Companion. Once installed, click Start under Backup & Restore and follow the on screen instructions to back up your data as this process will wipe the phone.

Running the software repair:
1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

I hope this helps! Let us know how it goes.
