Headset not detecting for Xperia z2

When I was trying to plug the headset it didn't detect. I have tried sound about app and it works fine..I'm having latest lollipop update.

Settings > all > apps > smartconnect > clear data > restart the phone.

also, have you try different headphones?

@uliwooly I have tried clear data on smart connect.. It didn't work and also no other headphones aren't working..

Try this press and hold volume up or down when you plug the headseat

If PCC doesn't solve your problem then you might want to contact your local Xperia care

also another thing to try is to boot on safe mode

If you look carefully inside the 3.5mm jack , is there anything green surrounding the top?
