After the upgrade to Lollipop, I only have the back button on the bottom of my tablet. I don't have the Home or Tasks icons. How do I get them to display?

It has been said that reinstalling Lollipop with Sony PC Companion will solve multiple issues

1. long press anywhere on the screen
2. select a preloaded theme
3. restart the tablet

I applied the pre-loaded "White" theme and rebooted. Still no home or task icon

If that doesn't work, you should repair your tablet with Sony PC Companion

re-booted into safe mode, no icons for home or tasks. Only the back icon

ok. went through the sony companion and re-installed. I haven't done anything but use my Nexus 6 NFC to transfer accounts. Haven't touched the settings. Set the tablet down for a while, when I wake it up, home and task icons gone again! What next?

repair again with Sony PC Companion but this time don't use your nexus 6 to transfer accounts.

Your nexus is probably transferring something that it's causing this issue.

thanks! I did a straight up re-load w/o doing anything until the process was finished completely. Also, not jumping on configuration until all of the installed aps with the ROM finish updating. I was going to revert, unlock, root and flash a lollipop ROM, but now i can postpone! Well, maybe postpone. I need root...

ok, left my tablet charging from my last reply. Icons are gone again!! Any clue as to what is happening? I added my Google email accounts, AVG anti-virus, Color Note and Intellicast...

noticed that swipe to unlock was not functioning. tried to get to that setting and the settings stop functioning. Going to try one more clean install then root this mutha if it doesn't work
