Experia Z3: Although on top level (ALL contacts) can be sorted by last name, it seems not to be possible to have the same sorting within groups, e.g. Family or Friends. Forgotten to program?

Not really. As the Z3 is brandnew to me (got it 3 days ago), I try to understand the apps and their behaviour first. Important for me is to synchronize my contacts (and hence the telephone app) from PC (Windows, Outlook 2013) ...

What I do is sync all the contacts with my Gmail/Google and then create groups and sync them to my phone.

That is exactlx what I do ,,, But after synchronisation I check the top level: Everything is fine and sorted by last name. Then I check any group and that is sorted by first name - an unusable default for me. And no chance to change ...

I checked here and it's like you say, in groups the contacts are displayed with first name first. I will forward it as feedback internally.
