Wifi issue's/drop out

hi i'm currently experincing some problems with my wifi on my xperia z2 and every 2 or 3 seconds my wifi keeps droping out and connecting to the mobile network and i've tried restarting my handset and seems fine for like half hour then it goes back to dropping out now would it be something to do with my software as i'm currently on 5.0.2 or is it best i do a factory reset as i've not done one it like 8 months from when i first got my phone

It might seem drastic but it'll be wise to do so, it will smooth things out
