The only option is to erase it as quick as you lose it. But there is a problem that myxperia or google device manager will factory reset internal memory. The microSD is intact.

There are lot of applications in play Store including Android Device Manager to do this but the thief will be aware of this softwares. So he can reset my phone and he can uninstall all my installed applications. Now what is the use of installing Anti Theft softwares(Yes he cannot access my data).

How can i make it unusable if i lost my device?

If someone steal your phone, most likely they'll try anything they can to reset it, if they turn off the phone or remove the SIM card and wifi it's off, you won't be able to find it.

My device is rooted and with that I can install hidden software which if stolen would inform me of the location and regardless of if they change the Sim I would be informed of the new number and also I could view any txt messages sent and received - If the person who has it were to perform a factory reset then it would fail as a password is required

Rooting is just that it gives you access to the root of the phone and allows you to un-install the system apps and will also allow you to flash custom roms, That's the basics of rooting
