Complete action using problem

Hi!

I've got several problems with my Xperia M2. I am using it for two monts. It has been updated on Android version 4.4.2, build number 18.3.C.0.40, at the beginning.

1. I installed Viber and Skype, and everytime I want to call from SMS, it shows Complete action using. I select Phone and Always, but it keeps showing again and again.

2. If I try to set distinct ringtone to any specific contact, ringtone is not changed.

3. My Home screen is not scrolling circularly.

4. My favourites contacts cannot be displayd as widget on home screen.

5. Also, I cannot make any folders "manualy" on my external SD card.

All this is very annoying me, and if I could not solve this problems, I will be back to my old LG phone. Sony is very dissapointed me!

Settings > apps > skype/viber > clear defaults

how are you setting the ringtone?

scroll circularly? it won't work like that, you have to go left or right but it won't go around (circle)

look for top contacts

are you using the file commander?

I did clear defaults, but no change.

I set ringtone from Contacts > click on contact > in top right corner Set ringtone > I choose ringtone from my music folder > Result: NOTHING. I had to download MP3 Cutter and ringtone maker to solve this problem!

Top contacts are not Favorite (Starred) contacts.

I tried File Commander, ES File Explorer and File Manager. Same problem.

LG L9 with Android 4.1.2 has Home screen option - Scroll screens circularly. 4.2.2 also has circularly scroll.

The great thing about Android is that you can download different lock screen apps or home launchers to customize your phone as you please, as well as different widgets.

OK, but I still cannot make new folder on external SD card!

So, I need another SMS app, contacts app, ringtone maker app, home screen app, lock screen app... What Sony does about that? I can listen music and play games? I need phone for my job!

I need to sell phone and by another with no such restrictions.

Lol, calm down, you should be able to multi task, you have to download as many apps as you need to customize your phone to your heart's content

It shows the message about restrictions to write to external SD card.

Is your phone rooted?

if yes, there are a lot many fixes.

However, if you are not rooted, Use B1 File manager.

It might help

It's not rooted. I'll loose warranty if I get it root. Am I right?

I tried B1 file manager and I get the same message: Could not create new folder.

This is a Kitkat version limitation.

Have you tried to creat folder using cmputer?

Connect to usb and then try to make folder in sd card

I can create folder using computer, but I almost never connect phone to computer.

Can I get back to JellyBean?

Yes you can go back to jelly bean since your phone was launched with jelly bean.
Just download stock rom for m2 and flash it.

Settings-apps-all,tap on 3 dots (settings) and reset app preferences.
