    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, this does mean you will lose data from the handset, if the handset can be turned on you should be able to backup the data.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;With all the information you have provided so far, I do not believe there is going to be any other option i'm afraid.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Acore process has stopped</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Posted previously on wrong forum&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I keep on having the above message pop up on my SP.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It affects most of the functions, my camera ceases to save pics, apps don't work and occasionally all functionality of the phone is suspended (was left standing in road with phone ringing loadly and unable to even switch phone off)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is really spoiling what was previously a reasonable phone.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have read suggestions to factory reset but don't really want to lose all my data. Can anyone make suggestions?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This fault still occurs in Safe Mode&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Keep getting the above message, along with multiple other messages popping up at the most inopportune times. Phone stops working randomly and is slow, pics won't save and generally it's messing up what was an ok phone.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Have read other fixes but all seem to require full restart and don't want to lose all my stuff.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggestions?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Press and hold power &amp;amp; volume up for 5 seconds, it should turn off your phone&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;then connect it to a wall charger &amp;gt; charge it for 30minutes or so &amp;gt; repair it with PCC&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I suggest you perform the Software repair as stated by Uliwooly. Please use the instructions below to perform this task.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;1. Download the PC Companion software from&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/" target="_self" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;PC Companion&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN class="Apple-converted-space"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and install it on your PC.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. Phone Software Update.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;4. Start.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;5. Repair Phone&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;6. Continue&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;7. Accept data removal&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;8. Next&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;9. Wait for prepare&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;10. Select Phone&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;11. Follow the connection steps&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;let us know how you get on.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
