Xperia Z2 Charging

My phone stays lit up when fully charged and will not switch off unless the power cable is removed ! does anyone else have this problem and is there a fix ? cheers

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

You could also check if you have "stay awake" enabled under settings > developer options.

Thanks for the reply, tried safe mode and no change so not app related, can't find developer options in settings... Does it have that option on the z2??
My phone was sent back for repair a few weeks ago as it was switching itself off and would not restart and they allegedly replaced the battery and it has been doing this ever since!

To enable developer options,go to settings-about phone-tap several times on build number.

Thanks alexdon xdon, found developer options. Stay awake is not ticked. Any other thoughts? Was watching it last night once it gets to 97% charge the phone lights up and won't switch off until cable pulled out.

Done the software repair but still no joy !! think it might have to go back for repair again!

Welcome,if it's been to sony repair I would guess they have probably damaged it, I have never had a phone back from sony that worked correctly, my advice sell it and get a Samsung.
We had 4 Z2 units in the company, one stayed illuminated when fully charged it went to sony and came back with another fault, tried to resolve it but go nowhere, sincerely good luck, but do keep on at them. I hope to see my complaint on Watchdog as the researchers have all the info, a shame as it's not sony just the repair muppets.

Latest update... it doesnt light up when charged during the day !! could it be something connected to my smartband ?? As it is set for smart wake up ...and is in auto night mode.

So its nothing to do with the smartband as I disconnected it ! Very weird that it doesnt light up when fully charged during the day, but still does at night.

Anybody got any other thoughts before I decide whether to send it for repair again or just charge it during the day !!
