Sorry to hear this but this is a matter for your local Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/support/contact-us/ or you could return your device to the place of purchase if this wasn't a direct from Sony device and if it was then you need to contact Xperia care

my phone was water damaged, less than 10cm depth and probably 3 seconds under water.

once i removed the phone from the water the screen went blank.

i paniced and obviously could not remove the battery.

i then left the phone off in the sun for more than 6 days afraid to turn it back on.

i assumed that the phone is completely sealed therefore i cannot open the device and clean it or take the battery out.

after about 6 days, i then decided to turn the device on, only the red light would burn once i connected the charger.

the phone was completely dead.

i then decided to return the phone to my service provider here in South Africa Cape Town.

they sent the phone back to the repair centre and waited for about 2 weeks.

i then collected the phone and was told i voided the warranty.

i did not care about anything else at the time i wanted the phone to work as i only had this phone for 3 weeks before it broke.

they did not quote me on the repair, they did not call me to say it was warranty void.

i am now sitting over 2 months down the line with a brick phone.

please advise ANYTHING i can do to get this phone repaired, my service provider will not help me.

Hi, best thing to do in this type of situation if you are sure all the flaps were closed etc is to call into where you purchased it or if that is not possible, as you have already done, send it into your local XPERIA CARE CENTRE......but INSIST on a VACUUM TEST, this test is the best/only way to determine if with the flaps closed your Z2 is in fact waterproof.

Unfortunetly you seem to have wasted/waited a long time but there is no harm in contacting them again....do a search on the forum for others who have experienced the same, and have a good read of the answers/tips provided.

Hope this helps in someway & good luck :smileysmileywink:
