How to make a video call on Z1

Hello,

I am unable to find any option to make aa video call in my Z1 while an on other handset like Nokia N8, lenovo P770, Samsung phone there is an option arises to choose for video call to any contact directly and no application is used to make a video call.

Plz suggest me to make a video call option on 3G network.

You need an app like hangouts,viber etc to make a video call.

And what to do if I have to receive a video call...
Today I tried to video call from my N8 but in N8 it shows that my Z1 phone doesnot support video call feature.
I already have installed hangout, viber, line, hike, Skype but none application was connected to video call I.e. My phone doesnot ringed for a video call
Plz suggest me, I want my phone must be able to receive video call.

The other user has to use the same app like you.

What a rubbish it is.
Dear sony why I can't use my 3G network by default for receiving video calls. Its so awkward that a simple 5000 Rs andriod phone can accept a video call without data on.

Unfortunately most of the new phones using modern mobile OSes doesn't support 3G Video Call. It's true for Android, iOS and WP.

I remember times when I was using it on my old Symbian phones and even feature phones but since iOS and Android took over mobile world no one remember that feature anymore.

I agreed,
But I miss that feature in my xperia z1 bcz I cant always keep my data on due to heavy battery drain issue on 3G and due to this when someone try to make a video call it doesn't connect even I didn't get any prompt on my z1.
But as I compared this feature to other phone I.e. Samsung, Xolo, karbonn, lenovo having to my friends they all have this feature to make a video call on 3G without using data.
