Disable/remove What's new in 4.4.4

I don't want the What's New feature popping up right next to Google Now when I swipe up from the Home key. How can I disable it? I wish to retain the Google Now feature though. I don't want to root the phone.

You can block it like this:

1.Install ADB

2.Run ADB shell from Windows cmd

3.Write pm block com.sonymobile.advancedwidget.entrance (to reset it just replace block with unblock)

4.That's it (in some cases you might need to restart)

Sorry to say this is not working on Windows 7.. Have been trying for the last 2 hours or so...

I'm at the point I don't care if it breaks the phone or not..

For me this is bad support from Sony..

Me neither but I did get used easily to these steps.Install ADB (Android Bridge Debug) from that link on XDA.Click on the executable and select Yes only for ADB,for the ADB system wide and for drivers select No.It should install ADB. After that,open Windows cmd and change director to the folder where ADB is installed.You can follow the above steps from now on.
