Power\lock button does not respond

The lock button of my SP is working in a strange manner. I'm not able to shut down my phone because of it. Pls help.

It also takes, I don't know about three attempts just to lock and unlock my phone.

HELP!!!!

Sorry to hear that you're having issues with the power button.

What happens when you press and hold the button? Does the phone react at all when you press it?

No the phone does not react at all. I'm so pissed with this phone really. Nd the only thing that solves it is resetting.
Pls help. I can't reset my phone every other day.

Have you updated your phone to the latest firmware?
If no,probably you are experiencing the glitch from the previous update, 12.1.A.1.201

Latest update is 12.1.A.1.205 and you can update it via Sony PC Companion only for now,Over The Air(OTA) update is currently unavailable yet.

One more thing,is your phone in 4.3JB or 4.1.2 JB?
