The phone doesn't have any recovery mode. To reset the phone without the password you need to reinstall the firmware using a computer.
Download and install PC Companion in your computer and then start the application but do not connect the phone. Then go to Support zone -> Software update -> repair phone and follow the instructions from the software.

The issue you described in the other thread sounds like a hardware issue i'm afraid. I recommend that you contact a service location for further assistance.

It sounds like PC Companion is unable to find any firmware matching the one you now have in your phone. Have you done any modifications to it like rooting it or installing a 3:rd party rom or firmware?

PC Companion checks what firmware you currently have in the phone to know which firmware to download and install so i suspect you have altered some system files using root so that PC Companion no longer can see which firmware to install.

You can try performing a master reset and see if that helps but you may need to restore the orifinal firmware using 3:rd party tools in this case. I'm afraid i can't assist you with that but i do recommend that you check our Android development board.
