SmartWatch SW2 Doesn't Work !

Hello, yesterday I was at the pool and I swam with my Sony SmartWatch SW2, as soon as I dove not even 10 seconds SmartWatch is turn off all alone. you says it is water resistant. I think you're lying to sell your watches that's all. I hope you will help me because it is still stuck and does not want to turn on.

Waterproof doesn't mean that you can swim with it.

It will withstand a rain and when it drops in water, but when you swim with it you put too much pressure on the sealing which makes it leaking. The "7" means "up to 1 meter water pressure". When you move your arm the pressure on the sealing is much higher than the 1 meter equivalent ..... .

Read the definition for IP57:

5 : Dust Protected

Ingress of dust is not entirely prevented, but it must not enter in sufficient quantity to interfere with the satisfactory operation of the equipment; complete protection against contact (dust proof).

7 : Immersion up to 1 m

Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion).

In short:

It seems your own fault, no warranty will probably cover this.

Sony should warn the user about what "waterproof" is all about.
