Google Now shortcut does not work on Jellybean 4.3

Hey,

I have a problem.

So I have recently installed the Android 4.3 update, and there is a way to go to Google now by holding the Home button and swiping up to the Google logo. However, after like 5+ hours, it doesn't work.

I have to reboot it to get it back.

Is there any fix for this?

Hi,

That sounds strange. Try to clear data for Google Search under settings > apps > all > Google search > clear data.

Restart the phone and try again.

Strange.

Make sure Google Now isn't disabled. If it's not I would suggest that suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

If the problem persists in safe mode, I would suggest that you try to reinstall the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

I've tried reinstall my Xperia M 5 times and maybe more. The result are same. When I still used 4.1, I didn't get some issues. And some issues that I got in OS JB 4.3, there are:

Google now shortcut aren't working every I receive a phone call, I reboot it, it's back as usual. And receive a phone call, the google aren't working.

Notification Light in BBM notif, I have setting notif Light is Yellow, the result just white light.

The battery so much drain than 4.1

Playing music, sometimes freeze (It's very annoying)

These analysis are same with many many posting. Not only me, every xperia M users who use JB 4.3 feel the same.

SO, I hope Sony fix JB 4.3 Bugs as soon as possible. because those bugs are annoying.

For me Google Now working perfect, maybe guys try repair yr phone? I've never problem with Google Now which u mentioned and not first time. Really strange 🙂

I am also facing the same issue with Google now. It works for some time after the reboot but after that the shortcut doesn't seem to work. Please note that this issue came up after the jellybean upgrade. I tried all the steps mentioned in the community but it's still not working. Please look into this.

@ Alexander, The shortcut is working fine in Safe mode. So how to check which third party app is causing the trouble?
