can't Wi-Fi or usb tether Xperia e

I am not able to tether Xperia e on either Wi-Fi or usb. My laptop runs Windows 8. Is there something that needs to be done with operator settings? My phone gets connected to laptop but can't access internet....

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

If you're able to access Internet directly in the phone but not when tethering I suggest that you check with your network operator if this is something that needs to be added to your subscription or if you need to use different APN setting for tethering.

Hi there!

Desperately trying to connect my Win 7 HP Elitebook 8570p with my Sony Xperia E1 D2005 via an Orange IL SIM card (unlimited talktime/SMS, 8 gig data).

Hotspot gets seen by the laptop, I can even connect, but then I either get "Internet connection" or "no internet connection" message, no matter which, internet on my laptop WONT WORK.

Tried USB tethering, same thing.

Phone can use data and calls/sms without any problems. Also used my phone as a Hotspot for other phones successfully in August. Laptop can also connect to other Wifi networks without any problems.

Tried several different APNs without any success. Come on Sony, seriously? Was so happy with my phone and then a simple, very important, function like that won´t work?! Hope this gets fixed soon...
