Xperia Privilege app

Hi,

Got my Z1 compact yesterday. Privilege app just says "currently no promotions are available..." when I go into it.

It's the latest version of the app. How can I get my movie and game codes?

Those movies and/or games are only available in certain markets contact your local Sony

Sonys terms and conditions of the promo:

Only valid with the purchase of Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Tablet Z. Redemption requires Xperia Privilege app, available on Google Play. This promotion begins on 16 September 2013 and will run until 31 December 2013. Vouchers can be redeemed until 31 January 2014.

Guess as you could not get the Z1 Compact before 31st Dec 2013, promo is finished.

I'm in the UK. The Z1 compact has been widely advertised everywhere as being part of the promotion, and the Terms and Conditions have been updated as such. It says that I have until 31 March to redeem the movies unlimited promotion.

I'm in UK also, I've never seen anything with the promo you speak of, not that I looked for it tbh. would be nice to get it though, the terms were pulled of Sonys UK website.

It's on the Carphone Warehouse website. Also was on phones 4 u, though seems to have been taken down now.

Just spoke to the Sony customer service ove a chat session and he acknoledged that Sony were advertising this and he seemed to think that we will get the offer but did not have the info when it will happen...

Jst a case of wait and see i guess.

I got my phone from carphone warehouse sim free in the UK and the same promotion was there.

Spoke to them and they are looking into the matter, have tried to email Sony support but no reply yet. Was a good selling point to the xperia line and a little disappointed Sony didn't think to have this available to the compact or at least a new set of offers exclusive for it.

I contacted sony and they confirmed there would be a promotion available via the privilege app but couldn't say when or what it would be.

The Music Unlimited trial is now available (though I'm not eligible due to already having had one).

Hopefully not long before we get our movies!

I emailed Sony Suuport and got a reply within about 24 hours. They told me to ring a 0844 number though. I had nothing show up in the Privelege app for over a week until yesterday, when the 60 day Music Unlimited trial offer appeared. Went through to the T&Cs screen, noting that this offer was for Xperia Z1 Compact, which was mebtioned a few times. Hit 'Accept' and then it told me that my device was not applicable for this promotion. I've never had a Music Unlimited subscription and it's definitely a Z1 Compact. Very frustrating. Even more so that there doesn't seem to be any definitive answers online.

I just checked my app just now and seen the music unlimited trial and got the same message, 'device not applicable'.

As these promotions are region specific you need to speak with your local Xperia Care team for any questions regarding these promotions.

OK so I just had a live chat with Jemma from Xperia Care UK and she said that the app is not live yet and that it should be up and running by the end of the week. The app itself updated through Play Store yesterday and the offer that was shown (60-day Music Unlimited trial) has now vanished and has been replaced with a 'no current offers...' message. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon and we can all get hold of the free content that was advertised

Elysium download is now finally available to be redeemed through the app. 🙂

Hopefully we'll get the other 5 movies in the next week.

Hmm, in the UK here and I don't see anything at all in the app - just a black screen and the toolbar, Sony logo at bottom. It's not even clear what the app is supposed to be for.

gtop, try going into settings>apps and clearing the data and cache from the Privelege app. That worked for me. I also got Elysium today and it did say in the T&Cs that there would be 5 movies to download. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Ah, I found the problem - it was one of the apps that needed a manual update from the Play Store, since it didn't come from there originally. Now it works, Elysium + 60-day MU now showing
