Xperia Sola Big Problems

I've had my Sola for about 3 months now and for the past 2 months I have been having some major issues with it.

First of all it's having bad charging problems. When on charge it doesn't go to charge sceen or anything, the notification led just lights up red. I'm unsure as to wether it is actually charging though because even after hours of being on charge the phone will not boot.

If/when i do manage to get the phone to boot and put it on the charger it says it's charging, but in actual fact it just drains the battery at an astonishing rate until it reads at 0% battery power. When i unplug the charger it will shut down and I'm stuck back at the beginning trying to get charge into it, to get it to reboot.

When I plug it into the usb port of my laptop, the computer says that it is corrupt and that there is a problem with the device (Xperia Sola).

I am very unimpressed by this phone because of these problems, and also by the rudeness / lying / the attitude of the support staff of the sony corporation. First off telling me that the Sola is a faultless phone (which uppon a quick websearch brings up many faults with this handset), then not offering me any troubleshooting advice what so ever, it's as if all they wanted was to get me off the phone to them. They also didn't offer me any advice on who to contact about repairs etc, apart from I probably should purchase a new phone. The phone which I own (Xperia Sola) is a NEW PHONE!

Any info or tips on why/ how to remedy these problems would be awesome.

I have some problems and I'm using the 4.0.4 update.

Well, I was using my mac pc to transfer music to my phone for a long time. Then I updated it to 4.0.4 and i can't connect it. I downloaded bridge but still the same. When I connect my phone, the phone is charging but still is not detectable from neither the pc nor the bridge. If u can't help me with this, tell me a way to rescind the current update. Please help me.
