Wifi not working - even after resetting

Hi there,

the wifi of my phone was deactivated, so i tried to re-activate it, but it just got stuck in the "turning on wifi" part and will not activate. At this time I was still able to access the Internet because of the plan I have for my phone for mobile Internet. I downloaded the latest update for my phone which didn't do any good. Also i have completely resetted my phone which didn't help either. I cannot access the Internet at all anymore now. Is it possible to solve this from at home or do I need to get it repaired?

HI All,

Iam facing the exact same issue. When I connect through Wifi it stays on for sometime and automatically wifi turns off and my 3G connection with Mobile Internet Connection turns on automatically.

Note: This started happening after updating to the Latest update. Also have problems with Menu Key not showing up List of running aps and have to click on it twice to get the list. which is a huge inconvenience.

My SL on .96 keeps saying. "searching for wifi networks" however finds no network, I wonder that in battery history details wifi indicator has no interruption does that mean it gets signal or just Indicates wifi is open, if it is the second option I will consider to take it to service center to examine The wifi antenna.

If this is a problem that started specificly after running the update, it would be worth running a repair to reload the firmware:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

Problem arised with. 200 and at 3 jelly bean updates I performed at least 2 repairs but nothing resolved. I wonder battery history details for wifi means phone gets wifi signals or just mentions activation of wifi.

Wi-Fi problem since 6.2.B.0.200, when we can expect new update to fix that ?

Alos PC Companion problems, when i try to do repair, the "prepare" proces just stuck.
