Phone don't start, SEUS/PCC requires QHSUSB_DLOAD

When i picked my Arc S up from charge yesterday it refused to start. Sony PCC didn't find it when connected to computer. After consulting this forum and trying different things i got it started by holding down the powerbutton while putting in the battery, the phone then works ok. PCC now find the phone and tells me it's updated. But if i turn the phone off i still can't start it whithout removing the battery. I tried to repair the software with PCC but when i turn off the phone and then connect the usbcable the computer just ask for QHSUB_DLOAD driver and PC companion don't start the repair. To get the phone started again i have to remove the battery. I have also tried SEUS with the same result. I haven't unlocked the bootloader or done anything else to the phone. It's months since i updated the OS.

try to reinstall PCC/SEUS.

then try repair once more

it might take awhile before the phone boots up after a repair,

PCC reinstalled but the repair still won't start.

PPC don't find the phone when reconnected after i turn it off and reconnect with backbutton pressed in the prepare phase. The computer finds new device and asks for driver QHSUSB_DLOAD.

it seems there is a problem with your pc detecting the right drivers,

try using another usb port

or if possible try using another pc.

Started PCC and connected to other USBport.

PPC detects the phone and says it is updated.

I choose repair software. Firts step is ok.

Second step, checking phone now the phone is turned off (Android system screen blinks and says something like phone shutting down (my language isn't english)) without my help (instructions say i am to do it manually). Then the computer asks for QHSUSB_DLOAD. The computer seems to have lost connection with the phone and the prepair phase isn't completed.

try to disable your antivirus/firewall

make sure the program is running with admin rights

Try following these specific steps so that you are starting the process with the phone not connected to the PC and with the handset powered off during the whole process.

1. Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

and install it on your PC.

2. Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.

Note! For some models you will be prompted to do a backup prior to the update and then restore.

3. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

4. Phone Software Update.

5. Start.

6. Repair Phone

7. Continue

8. Accept data removal

9. Next

10. Wait for prepare

11. Select Phone

12. Follow the connection steps

Followed the steps and connected the phone but nothing happened. The computer gave the USB-connection sound and i waited for a while with backbutton pressed but PCC didn't react. Only difference is that my computer don't ask for new driver.

Have some problem, if i removing a driver "ZEUS Flash Device" my phone was discover by windows 7 as "QHSUSB_LOAD", phone can't enter in flashmode(with blue led), and also phone wasn't start if press power button.

But if i remove battery for a few days(1-3), after it my phone can be power up for a few moments, became i won't see SE logo, after phone show it, my device shows message about shutting down, and then just no reaction on pushing power button.

I tryed EMMA, PCC, SUS, Flashtool for reflashing my ICS 4.0.4, but phone can't enter in flash mode.

It's here any help for resolving that issue?

Sry for bad english, i'm from Russia. And plz, don't send me in Russian support, caz they all dumbasses and can't help me.

Part of it may be the confusion between flash mode and fast boot mode. Fast boot mode is what gives you the blue light and is achieved by holding the volume up button whilst connecting with the phone off whereas flash mode 9which is the correct mode in this case) is achieved by holding the volume down button.

everybody in this forum knows nothing. actually, my phone encounters the same problem as yours. mine is xperia play r800i. i cannot enter flashmode and fastboot mode using the physicals buttons. your phone's bootloader is dead. you need to flash another bootloader in order to make the casual flash mode and fastboot mode to be working back. sorry for my bad english. you can contact alejandrissimo at unlock-bootloader.com . i am sure he can fix your xperia too!

this is the exactly problem i have with my xperia V lt25i
but it happend bcs of swaping memory for mmcblk1p2 wich can be founded on /dev/block

I was in the same situation .
I came out of the problem by pressing the Volume + , Volume - buttons, camera and power for 10 seconds .. the cel still vibrates off and turn on normal ... is not very good because I use my English translator ...
