Yes we do have the latest update. I think the problem started after we watched a program on the Virgin Tivo box which was faultless. After switching back to normal tv (YOU VIEW) all the sound disappeared. I turned off the TV and turned it back on the following day. The audio returned but is now very poor (tinny with no depth) but was OK before. I am considering a hard reset of the tv and if that doesn't work It will have to go back to Currys under guarantee. Thanks for your interest.Sent from my Galaxy

Have you tried clearing the cached data (under Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) then restarting the TV (hold the power button)?

Wow! This sounds involved! How do I set about doing what you suggested, Can
it be done using the remote, I am only a humble user not an expert.

Do you think that a "Factory Reset" may help to cure the problem?

If I do a "Factory Reset" I realise that I will have to log in to Netflix
etc, but will I be able to return to a particular episode where I left off
because my wife will kill me if I can't!

Please advise

Yes, it can be done through the remote and it doesn't delete any important data and usually improves performance without needing a Factory Reset, so I'd try that first.

Device Preferences can be found by pressing Home on your remote, then Settings at the top of the screen, then you'll see Device Preferences as an option.

Hope this helps!

- JD

Hi Joe,

Did as you suggested and cleared the cache, it still left 3Mb in storage even though I tried three times (was 8Mb at the start) but the problem remains ,the audio sounds like it's from a cheap transistor radio, have I got to bite the bullet and do a factory reset?

Cheers.
